Hello there, my name’s Rafael and I am a member of AEGEE Ioannina for 3 years.
Last year I was accepted to participate in the SU organized by AEGEE Zaragoza. I was very excited but also scared because it would be my first Summer University experience as a participant and I didn’t know any of the other participants or the organizers.
When I arrived in Zaragoza and met the organizers, I realized that I would have an awesome time in this AEGEE event. During the next 12 days our organizers didn’t waste a breath; they guided us and showed us around via touring in the incredibly beautiful cities of Zaragoza, Jaca and Albarracin. In every city and during every single day we had different activities, educational workshops and awesome thematic parties.
The organizers were excellent in every aspect of the SU, the food and drinks were first class but the most important thing was the mood we had while we were there. All of the participants and the organizers bonded together.
Personally I made many new friends and experienced feelings I had never felt in my life until that
point. I made a promise to myself to come back to Zaragoza and I managed to fulfill it during the Pr
e-Agora in Zaragoza this year, a promise that I renewed after this event and I want to make it co
me true many times over.
In the end, I believe that all of the participants in the upcoming TSU and SU course in Za
ragoza will gain a lot of benefits and will have a very good time but I believe the most important thing you will gain in the feeling that, no matter how
far your home or country is, you have a second home in Zaragoza.
